Development of Ancillary Tasks

Development of Ancillary Tasks -

Throughout the creation of our ancillary tasks, we dealt with many changes and developments that were all made to ensure a better quality video - enhancing our audience's enjoyment of our production.

Firstly, we made many alterations to our poster with regards to the logo, font and colours. After producing several drafts of our work and printing it off, we collated audience feedback, asking viewers to offer comments and opinions in order for us to decide which design was best appropriate as well as keeping in mind the requirements of our audience.

Colours and fonts were considered, we ensured that the font and colours used would become synonymous with the theme of our production and its symbols and motifs. For example, we finally decided to utilise the font 'JILL SANS MT', this font added simplicity and sophistication to our poster and digipak, whilst at the same time isn't detracting attention away from our lead actor or the rest of the image.

There were a variety of images collected that were considered for the digipak and the poster. Again, we decided to conduct a small feedback sheet that enabled audiences to make their own decision as to what would be best appropriate. From further analysis and with the aid of our audience feedback, we were able to narrow our options down to the few best possible images. For example, the use of the actor carrying the guitar in the poster symbolises the character connecting with not only music, but with his surroundings, thus emphasising our narrative, improving our audience's enjoyment of our production and its features.
